Tim Wilson

Director, Northeast Texas Small Business Development Center

Mr. Wilson has served clients of the Small Business Development Center for fifteen years, creating growth strategies, providing market and industry intelligence, capital access and financial management assistance to entrepreneurs and business owners. During that period, he and his team have assisted business clients to achieve over $70 million in capital investments for business startups, acquisitions and expansions.

His prior work included retail marketing and management, commercial and residential construction, engineered industrial equipment sales, and non-profit development. Having been an entrepreneur since 1988, he started or partnered in five small businesses and self-employment ventures (some successful, some not so), earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He is certified in Economic Development Finance, Technology Commercialization, and Community Economic Development.

Tim and his wife Jolene own and operate a country Bed & Breakfast where they entertain guests from around the globe. They enjoy gardening and rejoicing over 13 grandchildren!
